Roderica Cottrell, MD, specializes in non-operative orthopedics, interventional spine, and musculoskeletal medicine. Dr. Cottrell received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, KY, in 2002. She relocated to Atlanta, GA in 2003 and completed her residency training at Emory University. Dr. Cottrell is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and a diplomate of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She has been practicing in the Atlanta area since 2006.
Dr. Cottrell prides herself on putting the patient first and has been recognized for her excellent patient care as the recipient of multiple awards, including 2020 Top Doctors in Orthopaedic Surgery; Atlanta Magazine 2018 Top Regional Doctors in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; Castle Connelly Top Doc Award 2014, 2015, and 2016; 2016 Top Regional Doctors in Orthopaedic Surgery; and Emory University, Department of Rehabilitation Medicine Award for Academic Excellence.
Dr. Cottrell evaluates, treats, and manages acute and subacute musculoskeletal injuries and disability. She is an expert in designing comprehensive, patient-centered treatment plans. She utilizes cutting‐edge as well as time‐tested treatments to maximize function and quality of life. Outside of the office, Dr. Cottrell enjoys tennis and travel.
